Who is ILS and what do we do

Independent Learning Systems (ILS) provides complete and comprehensive training solutions. We specialize in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs for various clients. As part of the full range of services provided, ILS designs, develops and delivers training for automotive manufacturers in Canada, US and Mexico. An opportunity is currently available at ILS for a Reception/Help Desk with proven technical support experience to be based in Ottawa.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct technical support assistance with the client on various ILS-developed web sites and troubleshoot any issues with the development team as required.
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone
  • Provide training to clients in the use of system and applications as related to Internet.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Maintain and update database information
  • Document filing
  • Assist in managing the distribution of awards for various programs

Qualifications necessary

  • Experience in a customer service role, i.e., reception, service desk, switchboard
  • Certificate from college or technical school,high school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Data entry experience
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to work with confidential information

Additional assets

  • Understanding of Scripting, HTML, CSS
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop CS
  • PowerPoint
  • Good written and oral communication skills in Spanish
