Independent Learning Systems (ILS) provides complete and comprehensive training solutions. We specialize in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs for various clients. As part of the full range of services provided, ILS designs, develops and delivers training for automotive manufacturers in Canada, US and Mexico. An opportunity is currently available at ILS for a Beginner Multimedia Designer experience to be based in Ottawa.

Responsibilities

The Multi-Media Designer is a creative thinker with the ability to translate course content into a visually engaging and interactive learning experience. You must be able to work in a multi-tasking and collaborative team environment. The Multi-Media Designer will work closely with project management on simultaneous projects and the position requires:

  • Providing creative ideas for the development of web-based interactive e-learning
  • An understanding of user experience and user interface
  • Graphical Interface Design and understand how to generate optimized assets
  • Experience developing applications using Flash or ActionScript
  • Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the Web
  • Audio and Video production

Qualifications necessary

  • Diploma in multi-media design or 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Object Orientated Programming
  • Adobe Flash CS4
  • Actionscript 2.0 and 3.0
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • PowerPoint
  • Adobe Premiere
  • Adobe Audition
  • Strong knowledge of Scripting, HTM, CSS, XML
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to work with confidential information
