.NET Developer (12 Month Contract)
Who is ILS and what do we do
Independent Learning Systems (ILS) provides complete and comprehensive training solutions. We specialize in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs for various clients. As part of the full range of services provided, ILS designs, develops and delivers training for automotive manufacturers
in Canada, US and Mexico. An opportunity is currently available at ILS for an Intermediate .NET Developer with proven technical support experience to be based in Ottawa.
Position description
Design and develop systems using .NET environment. Design, develop, and support database systems for SQL Server 2000/2005. Provide direct technical support assistance with the client on various ILS-developed web sites and troubleshoot any issues with the development team as required.
Qualifications necessary
- Candidates must have at least 3 years experience in software development with Object Oriented technologies and programming languages.
- Web services, C#/VB.NET, JavaScript, CSS, knowledge of ColdFusion
- In depth knowledge of SQL and experience with SQL Server
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
- University diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to interact with the client over the telephone in a professional manner
Additional assets
- Development experience in Cold Fusion 5.0 (and higher)
- Flash Development
- Action Scripting
- XML
- Familiarity with DreamWeaver and MS Visual SourceSafe would also be an asset
- Good written and oral communication skills in French
